School Induction

Firstly, may I take this opportunity to thank you for considering studying at Cardiff University?  The School of Healthcare Studies is the leading provider of education for Allied Health Professional in Wales and one of the leading schools in the UK.   We look forward to working with you and aim to provide you with an outstanding university experience during your studies.

Your first day of term will be a busy, but enjoyable start to your programme of study, in which you will meet your fellow students and the course team.  On the second day, all undergraduate students from SOHCS courses will come together for the ‘School Induction Day’.  This day is designed as an ‘orientation’ to being a ‘healthcare studies’ student and will cover common areas of interest.  Additionally, several sessions have been made available online for you to look at, prior to attendance.  These sessions cover mandatory topics such as ‘Health and Safety’, ‘Student Support Services’ and ‘Fire Safety’.  It is essential that you read through the materials uploaded and familiarise yourself with university policy and procedures.  If you have any questions in relation, please direct these towards department staff during your first week.

Please remember that you need to complete the 'Essential To-Do' online form on the Changing Gear website before you begin your studies. Click here to be taken to the form.

We look forward to meeting you in September!

Warmest regards,
